Our first few hours

Our flight was delayed so we didn’t land at Osaka until 5:15 local time. Long line at customs. We picked up our Ninja wifi that Tom had pre-ordered

Lots of navigating through the airport and train station and payment machines. Hungry and tired but we managed!

Found our way to the train station and bought our tickets for the Haruka Hello Kitty Express train to Kyoto  a dream come true for Tom.

We asked someone for help because we were trying to find the food mall at Kyoto Tower. As we got to talking she told us about a shrine in her hometown we must go see. It is known to bring “good results” for matchmaking. It’s not on the map so not sure how we’ll find it. We are already matched but maybe good luck anyways. Everyone has been friendly and curious about where we’re from.

Finally we found food. It was almost 9pm but the train station is full of restaurants and shops. We had a Kyoto specialty. Rice with fish. Pour the tea over it. I had salmon Tom had tuna.

Took the subway to our hotel and checked in!

Lots of options at the toilet, including music for privacy!

Passed out and slept well
